STSM working for the Breton company Fleximodal

Fleximodal, designer of mobile solutions for urban area transportation of containers and pallets of up to 200 kg, contacted us last year with a project for a new model of transporter based around a bicycle: the Tricylift.

This new scooter developed by the Breton company is due to be marketed from the second half of 2023. The vehicle is ideal for efficient and eco-friendly city center deliveries. Its role is to cover the last kilometer, in other words the final link in the logistics chain. This cycle-logistics solution added to the more traditional means of transport reduces the environmental impact of urban deliveries.

The Tricylift has been designed to slot seamlessly into the supply chain by using a standard format already used in logistics: the European Pallet, or Euro-pallet (80 x 120 cm). By offering modules in standard 80 x 120 cm formats, we can create micro-containers suitable for conditions in city centers.

In addition to its efficiency, the Tricylift has been designed to ensure ease of cycling and an ergonomic position for the delivery person.

In consultation with Fleximodal, the STSM site has manufactured the mechanically welded structure and produced a new prototype. This was presented at the 2 wheel show in Germany at the beginning of October 2022.

The tubular structure required the expertise of STSM for the laser cutting of the tubes as well as the welding, and of IVA for the cataphoresis and powder painting.
