Electric mobility, a booming market

The electric mobility industry has been booming for several years now. At the heart of this transformation are a number of innovative companies involved in technological and ecological change.

This fast-growing market gives us the opportunity to apply our expertise in the production of parts such as battery cover reinforcements for electric buses. Part of the machinery at our AIMB site in Brittany (22) is used for this production: cutting, bending, welding, and installing nuts.

Although our original collaboration was with our subsidiary STSM (53), the strategic choice to join forces with another of our subsidiaries became obvious, highlighting our agility and our wide range of expertise.

A major player in the electric mobility market has also contacted AIMM to produce the electric battery supports for buses as part of the Bus 2025 programme established by the RATP in the Ile-de-France region. Mounted on the roof of the bus, the chassis house the batteries that power the bus. Producing these products requires a high degree of expertise. It calls on several of the Group’s manufacturing processes (laser tube, cutting, bending, robot welding, grinding, cataphoresis, painting and assembly), with specific material supplies and important safety criteria.
Producing these parts demonstrates the complementary expertise of AIMM, STSM and IVA.

These ambitious projects are part of a new era of mobility.
